The Game of Thrones actress plays Dorothy Hunt, first wife of E. She was killed in December 1972, when United Airlines Flight 553 crashed en route from Washington to Omaha. Though it was ruled an accident, her presence on the flight (and the fact that she had $10,000 in cash on her) led to various Watergate-related conspiracy theories, including that the crash was planned by the CIA.
The actress, who plays Dita Beard, says, "you laugh, of course—until you remember it’s all true." Parts of White House Plumbers are laugh-out-loud outrageous – but other parts do make you feel for some of these people, and, of course, compare that scandal to more contemporary ones. All the President's Men is one of my favorite movies of all time — and White House Plumbers is good enough to be shown as a very long, all-Watergate double feature.
Severance actor Yul Vazquez plays Bernard Barker, a Cuban-born operative who worked for the FBI and CIA before being recruited into the White House Plumbers by Hunt. He was one of the five burglars paid by the CRP to break into the DNC offices—he served one year in prison for the crime. Jeb Magruder worked for Nixon in the White House before becoming director of the Committee to Re-elect the President in 1971, during which time he was involved in the planning and orchestrating of Watergate. Thanks to his cooperation with prosecutors, he served three months in federal prison, and another four at a safe house with Dean and others (they had been getting threats from fellow inmates).

"White House Plumbers" is better before it gets to Watergate, with the first half depicting how Liddy and Hunt were bombastic but somehow good at their jobs, which helped them lead Nixon's corrupt Committee for the Re-election of the President. (The title comes from how they were known for "fixing leaks.") The series slightly elevates its comedy here. Harrelson and Theroux ham up liberally recounted events that have some shred of truth, and flourish in a passage about investigating the therapist of Daniel Ellsberg (who famously released the Pentagon Papers). We watch Liddy and Hunt, in bafflingly fake wigs, do dumb things like pose in front of the camera used during a break-in (only made worse when Hunt doesn’t take the film out before it reaches the authorities later on). It’s Coen brothers-lite with the bittersweetness of history and a looming sense of how ill-conceived each move is.

Just be careful if you’re reading tarot cards – don’t let an ominous Tower card ruin a perfectly good friendship. It’s the perfect spot to have a cup of tea and catch up with a friend on a rainy day, or curl up with a good book if you’re into that. It’s an adorable little setup, with a board for chopping open the tasty fruits to make them a sweet beachside drink. This would be a great place to enjoy snorkeling, catching bugs, and fishing with friends – or all by yourself.

Camp is always better with friends, so fill up your village with a mixture of Peppy, Jock, or Sisterly characters.
